First ever Fat Marmot Week to kick off in effort to raise money for research

The inaugural Fat Marmot Week begins Monday, aiming to raise funds for wildlife research through a contest reminiscent of Fat Bear Week. This initiative seeks to promote wildlife appreciation while supporting critical scientific studies.

BirdLife has received a £7.5 million grant from the Ecological Restoration Fund to enhance conservation efforts along the African-Eurasian Flyway, aiming to protect and restore vital habitats for migratory birds. This funding will support key sites essential for the survival of these species.
